ATALANTES is a production with six dancers from different European countries. The piece emerged from a project by EinTanzHaus and company Didier Théron, which invited dancers from various European cities to digital rehearsals during the Corona period. With ATALANTES, the choreographer Didier Théron develops the impulses of the time together. The character from Greek mythology symbolizes for him an examination of the current situation in Europe: Atalanta, who defies the gods, who changes the view of her father and other men, and who goes to the limits of her wishes. Questions about the role of each human being in today's world, but also about boldness and courage are at the heart of the development of the new piece, created in collaboration with live percussionist Joël Allouche and the dancers.
